Guide to Tenerife Reina Sofia International Airport (TFS)

Tenerife Reina Sofia International Airport is
the larger of the two airports located on Tenerife Island and services
regional and international destinations. The airport is located
in the south part of the island, 60 km from the capital, Santa Cruz
de Tenerife in the north.
Terminals
and check-in
There is only one terminal at the airport, servicing both chartered
and scheduled flights.
Airport
facilities
Refreshments and meals are available from a range of restaurants,
bars and cafés.
Further facilities include: travel
agencies, post office, a chapel, police station, pharmacy and a
medical centre open 24-hours a day.
Business
and meetings
On the second floor of Departures there are business and conference
facilities located in the Sala VIP.
Shopping
and money
Shopping opportunities are limited to a newsagents, gift shop and
florists.
ATMS and banks are available at the
airport.
Disability
assistance
The airport is wheelchair-accessible and lifts are available to
take passengers to the upper level. Telephones, restaurants and
toilets are all physically accessible and facilities to assist disabled
passengers from the aircraft to the terminal are provided. Disabled
passengers are recommended to inform their airline of any special
needs at least 72 hours prior to departure.

Tenerife Reina Sofia International Airport transportation
By taxi
Taxis are available outside the terminal and run to Santa Cruz de
Tenerife; journeys last 60 minutes.
By car
Driving from Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the north of the island,
travel along Highway Tenerife 1 (TF-1) for approximately 60km until
the sign posted junction for the airport is reached.
By bus
Buses regularly operate from the airport to the central bus station
in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (at La Avenida Maritima), North Tenerife
Airport (for inter-island flights), Los Cristianos (for ferries
to La Palma and La Gomera) and other locations on the island.
Parking
Over 1,000 parking spaces for cars and buses are provided. 58 of
the car parking spaces are free for a maximum stay of 15-minutes.
Short- and long-term parking is located opposite the terminal building
near the bus and taxi stops.
