Guide to Tenerife Norte Los Rodeos International Airport (TFN)
The gateway to one of the most popular destinations
in southern Europe is Tenerife Norte Los Rodeos International Airport.
Los Rodeos is located 9 kms by road from Santa Cruz de Tenerife,
while Puerto de la Cruz is 28 kms away and Los Cristianos 87kms
away.
Terminals
and check-in
There is only one terminal at the airport.
Airport
facilities
Numerous food and beverage outlets are available in the terminal,
including the Bar Tenerife, Café Careca and Café Rittazza
(fast food).
Business
and meetings
Business travellers will not find a dedicated business centre at
the airport, but may receive some assistance by contacting the airport
information counter.
Shopping
and money
There is a good selection of shopping, including La Casa de los
Balcones, López Echeto, Dulces y helados artesanos (a store
selling local sweets and ice creams), Tenerife Deli (with local
specialities), Timberland, Levi Strauss and several fashion stores.
The Canariensis sells newspapers, tobacco and snack-food.
Banking services are available at
the Caja Canarias which is open 08:30-14:00 most days.
Disability
assistance
Facilities for the disabled include dedicated check-in areas, good
wheelchair access throughout the terminal, and specialized toilet
facilities. Further assistance is available for boarding aircraft,
though passengers are advised to inform their airline of any specific
needs, in advance of arrival.

By taxi
Taxis are located outside the main terminals and are an easy way
to reach the different destinations on the island.
By car
To reach the airport by car, drive along the TF-5 motorway. There
are four lanes on the road entering the airport, with two lanes
for those arriving and two for passengers departing.
By bus
Several buses connect the airport with destinations around the island.
The linea 102 bus connects to the following destinations: Santa
Cruz-Autopista Norte-La Laguna (estación/station de Guaguas)-Aeropuerto
Tenerife Norte-Autopista-El Botánico-Puerto de la Cruz. There
are departures from the airport at 06:40, 07:40 and every 30 minutes
until 21:40. The departures at 22:05, 22:35, 23:05 and 23:25 only
run as far as La Laguna. Buses running to Puerto de la Cruz are
also available, with departures at 06:50, 07:20 and every half-hour
until 20:50. The prices are 1,05 € to Santa Cruz and Puerto
de la Cruz, 0,90 € to La Laguna.
The Línea 107 operates along
the following route Santa Cruz-Autopista Norte-La Laguna (estación
de guaguas)-Aeropuerto Tenerife Norte-Autopista Norte-La Orotava-Las
Arenas-Realejo Bajo-San Juan de la Rambla-Icod de los Vinos-Garachico-Los
Silos-Buenavista.
Another bus, the Línea 108
operates along the following route: Santa Cruz-Autopista Norte-La
Laguna (estación de guaguas)-Aeropuerto Tenerife Norte-La
Orotava-Las Arenas-Realejo Bajo-San Juan de la Rambla-Icod de los
Vinos.
Once in Santa Cruz, you may take other
bus routes to reach various destinations around the island.
Parking
Public parking is located opposite the new terminal building, and
is distributed across three levels. There is capacity for 1,000
cars and 22 coaches, with automatic ticket dispensers available
for private car owners.
