Guide to Tel Aviv Ben-Gurion International Airport (TLV)

Tel Aviv provides connections to all major cities
in the Middle East and is located 20 km southeast of Tel Aviv and
50 km west of Jerusalem.
Terminals
and check-in
Two terminals are located at the airport with a shuttle bus running
between Terminals 1 and 2 every 15 minutes from outside Gates 3
and 7.
Airport
facilities
Many restaurants are available at the airport providing a range
of cuisine, from international to middle eastern.
Further facilties include a left luggage
desk, a post office and a nursery. Note that many airport services
(including public transport) are reduced during Shabbat (07:00-1700
Friday-Saturday) and during public holidays.
Business
and meetings
The VIP Mezada lounge provides fax and internet facilities, and
is open to general use (Tel: + 972 3 971 2266). Travellers with
Israel's El Al airline may use the King David Lounge (Tel: + 972
3 971 6892), while passengers with other airlines can access the
Jet Set Club Lounge (Tel: + 972 3 973 1659) for a small charge.
Shopping
and money
A range of shopping facilities including duty-free shops are available.
Several 24-hour banks and a tax refund
service are also available.
Disability
assistance
Lifts and vehicle transportation to the aircraft are provided for
those with mobility difficulties. Airlines should be notified in
advance of any special needs.
Information
Information Desks located in the Main Hall and in the Departures
Hall. Also available is the Israeli Government Tourist Office information
desk, which is located in the Arrivals Hall (Tel: + 972 3 971 1485).

By taxi
Taxis are located near the airport reception hall. A number of companies
are available; the Nesher Company operates a shared taxi service
between the airport and Jerusalem, charging a fixed rate per passenger.
Hadar-Lod Taxis, also on hand, run to all destinations.
By car
To reach the airport by car, follow route no. 1 from Tel Aviv or
Jerusalem.
By rail
There is no direct rail access to the airport, however, bus no.
222 serves Tel Aviv central railway station between 06:00-24:00.
By bus
Buses to Jerusalem and Haifa leave the airport every 30 minutes
on route nos. 423, 945 and 947, departing between 05:30-23:00 with
journeys taking approximately 45 minutes. The bus stops are located
in the Central Piazza of the airport, opposite car park 1 and tickets
can be bought on board.
Bus no. 475 to Tel Aviv departs every
10 minutes and serves the central bus station; journeys take 30-45
minutes. Tourbus provides a bus service to the main hotels along
the seafront at Tel Aviv. Bus no. 222 serves Tel Aviv central railway
station before stopping at all major seaside hotels between 06:00-24:00.
Parking
Short-term car parking is available at the entrance to the terminals
while long-term parking is located at the entrance to the airport
grounds. Parking in no-park zones will result in your vehicle being
towed away and the owner being fined.
