Guide to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX)

This is a busy airport due to its location in
one of the most interesting and scenic parts of the US. It is located
three miles out of Phoenix in some amazing countryside. It is a
central hub for domestic flights and also provides a number of European
destinations.
Terminals
and check-In
There are three terminals, but it is confusing as they are named
2,3, and 4. Terminal 3 is for domestic flights only. The terminals
are all linked with a free shuttle service.
Airport
facilities
There are the usual airport shopping establishments, newsagents,
bookshops etc. There are also fast food outlets and bars.
Business
and meetings
Terminals 2 and 3 have facilities for photocopying, and computer
terminals. There are no conferencing facilities.
Shopping
and money
There is a small duty free section situated in Terminal 4. There
are plenty of places to withdraw money and exchange foreign currency.
Disability
assistance
Facilities are good with excellent wheelchair access, convenient
lift access and specially equipped toilets. Disabled parking requires
all users to display a disabled badge.

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport Transportation
By taxi
Taxis are located outside the main terminal building. Limousines
can also be hired. Rates for downtown Phoenix can vary, prices can
be haggled for.
By car
To get to the airport from the city centre head for 7th Street going
south until the I-10 is reached. Going in an easterly direction
will take you to the airport. From North-Central Phoenix drive along
the AZ-51 southbound until the I-10.
By bus
The Airport SuperShuttle provides a quick and easy door-to-door
service to all destinations throughout Phoenix. The service runs
every day (09:00 to 21:00). The airport also provides transportation
to other parts of Arizona but these should be arranged in advance.
Phoenix Transit also has wheelchair accessible buses.
Parking
The usual parking arrangements are provided. Economy parking lots
are located a short distance from the main terminal building. Pay
and display parking is also available for short-term parking needs.
