Guide to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL)

This is one of the biggest airports in the United
States, with seven terminals providing flights throughout the world.
It has extensive facilities and its spacious lounge areas make waiting
quite relaxing.
Terminals
and check-In
The seven terminals (A-G), Terminals B and C are dedicated to domestic
flight destinations only. The terminals are connected by efficient
travelators.
Airport
facilities
Each terminal has a wide variety of shops and refreshment outlets.
There is also the ‘Marketplace’ located between Terminals
A and B, which has even greater choices. A medical centre is also
provided in the airport building.
Business
and meetings
There is a business and conference centre with the standard secretarial
services and it also offers internet access. Catering can also be
arranged for conferences. Business services and internet can also
be found in between Terminals A and B.
Shopping
and money
Banks and ATM services are on offer in each terminal. Currency exchange
is also widely available. Duty free shopping is available in terminals
A and C.
Disability
assistance
Facilities are good. The airport produces a handy leaflet for disabled
passengers. Braille symbols are on all lifts and ATM machines for
the mobility impaired and wheelchair access in and around the terminal
is good. Special parking is on-hand and the shuttle buses are wheelchair-accessible.

There are a number of helpdesks around the terminals and there is
also an information hotline (tel: +1 215 937 6937). Baggage assistance
for international passengers may be obtained by contacting the Communications

By taxi
Taxis are available from zone 5 and Limousines are provided at Zone
7 outside the terminal buildings.
By car
To get to the airport from the city take the I-76 South until exit
43B which joins SR-291 going southbound to the airport.
By train
There is a half hourly service into the city running until midnight.
By bus
A regular service runs to most parts of Philadelphia from Zone 1
outside the terminal buidlings.
Parking
Airport parking areas are located beside all terminal buildings,
offering both short and long-term parking. Economy parking is available
close to Airport Terminal E. There is also a small valet parking
area near the departures entrance of Terminal B.
