Guide to Paris Orly International Airport (ORY)

This is a charming airport with a character all
of its own. Though it is the city’s second airport it still
sees over 25 million travellers through its terminal gates every
year. Situated about 10 miles outside of central Paris, it provides
both domestic and international flights.
Terminals
and check-In
There are two terminals: Ouest (west) and Sud (south). Both serve
a mixture of domestic and international flights and there is a shuttle
that connects the two buildings. The aiport also has a couple of
interesting art galleries.
Airport
facilities
The usual assortment of retailers and food and beverage outlets
are available. Ouest Terminal has a wider range than Sud. The majority
of facilities in Orly Sud terminal are situated post-security. There
is a medical centre on site, which provides vaccinations, and there
is also a dry cleaners. The airport shuttle provides transport to
a number of nearby airport hotels.
Business
and meetings
The airport has extensive business facilities. There is a business
centre situated at Orly Ouest (open daily from 08:00 to 19:30).
A fully-equipped business centre (open 08:00 - 19:30 daily) at Orly
Ouest offers secretarial services, photocopying, faxing etc. The
business centre also has good conference facilities with 15 meeting
rooms, six offices and a business lounge. The smaller Orly Sud terminal
also has conferencing facilites and catering is available.
Money
Withdrawal of funds is easy with many ATM machines available in
both buildings. There are also many opportunities to exchange currency.
Disability
assistance
The airport provides good all round facilities with wheelchair access
and specialy designed toilets. The airport requests that travellers
with special needs contact the airport in advance. Welcome desks
are available for disabled passengers in Orly Ouest (West) Exit
W, on the first floor, and at Orly Sud (South) Exit E, on the ground
floor.
Information
Orly Sud has three information desks at Exits C and H, and at Hall
B. Orly Ouest has information booths on the Departures level, Exits
O, R, S and W, and in the Arrivals level at Exits D and J.

Paris Orly International Airport Transportation
By taxi
Taxis are available outside the terminal buildings any time of night
or day. They can be quite expensive if you are traveling into Paris,
and Paris’ traffic doesn’t always make it convenient.
A taxi van service is also provided.
By car
Take the A6 or the Route Nationale 7 both via Porte d’Italie.
By train
There is a regular service running from the airport to the city.
Platforms are easily accessible from airport terminal buildings.
By bus
Local services include the Air France bus service and the Orly bus
service, which have routes to most parts of the city. Services are
regular and departure times and routes are displayed in the airport
on the bus stop notice boards.
Parking
The airport provides convenient parking close to the terminal buildings.
Valet parking is available. Disabled spaces are situated in P1,
PAB, PCD, PT9 and PF car parks. Fees are discounted 50% if you possess
a disability ID.
