Guide to Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG)

Paris Charles de Gaulle is probably one of the
worlds busiest airports handling in excess of 200,000 passengers
a day. It is located 14 miles north-east of Paris.
Terminals
and check-In
The airport has three terminals. Terminal 1 handles international
flights, Terminal 2 is for Air France and other European destinations
and Terminal T9 is for charter flights.
Airport
facilities
The airport has extensive shopping, and a wide range of bars, cafes
and high quality restaurants. There are pharmacies and a medical
clinic also located within the airport. Terminals 1 and 2 each have
a post office open from 08:30 to 18:00, while Terminal T9 has fewer
facilities. There are no hotels in the airport complex but hotels
are easily reached within a 5 mile radius.
Business
and meetings
In Terminal 1 there is a business centre with conference rooms and
offices available. There is also a VIP lounge with fax, photocopying
and video facilities.
Shopping
and money
Both Terminals 1 and 2 have banks, exchange bureaux and ATMs in
every hall. There is also a good selection of duty free.
Information
There are information desks in Terminal 1 at exits 34 and 36 on
the departures and arrivals levels. Terminal 2 provides information
desks at Halls A, B, C, D and F.

By taxi
Taxis are all found outside the main terminal exits. It takes about
45 minutes from the airport to central Paris. Chauffeur-driven limousines
are also available for hire.
By car
The best options for reaching central Paris are to head south on
the A1, turning onto the A6 and then westbound on the A4
By train
There is a fast train running into the city every 15 minutes and
the journey takes 35 minutes. It is a convenient way to get into
Paris, considering traffic congestion.
By bus
There is a regular service from the airport. Buses depart every
20 minutes and terminate at Place Charles de Gaulle. It is hard
to get a bus after midnight though. Roissybus runs a service between
all terminals of Charles de Gaulle Airport and rue Scribe in central
Paris, every 15 minutes from 06:00 to 22:30.
Parking
There is ample parking space with all types of parking catered for.
Disabled parking can be reserved at reduced rates.
