Guide to Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport (MSP)
Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport is
home the US carrier North West Airlines. It is one of America’s
largest airports and handles a huge number of charter flights.
Terminal
and check-In
The majority of charter flights leave from the Hubert H. Humphrey
Terminal. Within the five concourses of the Lindbergh Terminal are
scheduled flights for most carriers both domestic and international.
A shuttle bus service connects both terminals.
Airport
facilities
Many of the shopping and refreshment outlets are located in the
larger Lindbergh Terminal. There are a number of food courts and
the usual array of airport shops. The smaller Hubert H. Humphrey
Terminal has only basic amenities.
Shopping
and meetings
The Lindbergh Terminal has a large International duty-free shop
selling perfumes, spirits, jewellery and other gifts.
Business
and meetings
There are extensive conferencing facilities provided by The Pierson
M. Grieve Conference Centre. There is also a self-service business
center. Data ports are located throughout the airport and there
are also computer workstations with on-line facilities.
Disability
assistance
Facilities for disabled passengers are good. All the standard requirements
are met. Shuttle buses that run between terminals are wheelchair
accessible. To reach the Lindbergh terminal, use walkways on level
3, or alternatively the tunnel level.
Information
There are helpful staff on hand and there are desks located in the
Lindbergh terminal.

Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport Transportation
By taxi
There is a taxi booth located near the main terminal building. All
taxis are metered providing quick and easy access into downtown
Minneapolis. There are also shared taxi vans available, providing
a cheaper but equally convenient service. The service will travel
to any destination within five hours of the airport. Please arrange
this in advance.
By car
Take the 35W highway and exit at Highway 62 West, then head for
Highway 5 westbound until airport signs are seen.
By bus
Metro Transit operates a service from the airport to most areas
of Minneapolis and St Paul. Buses can be can be arranged at the
Ticketing Level by the Green Parking ramp in the Lindbergh Terminal.
Parking
The airport offers both hourly and daily rates for parking. There
is also valet parking nearby. More economical long-term parking
is situated near the Hubert H. Humphrey Terminal at the ‘Econolot’.
A shuttle operates from this area every 15 minutes.
