Guide to Miami International Airport(MIA)
Miami International Airport sees 35 million passengers
through its gates each year. It has eight concourses and truly is
one of the busiest destinations for airport traffic in the world.
Terminals
and check-In
The eight concourses provide flights to over 150 destinations worldwide.
The concourses are named (A - H) and it is only D that does not
provide international flights.
Airport
facilities
There are numerous fast food outlets and some high class eating
establishments. There are plenty of the shopping options. There
is a hotel situated in concourse E with round-the-clock food services
and a swimming pool. The duty free area has a relaxing lounge area.
Business
and meetings
The airport hotel offers extensive business and conferencing facilities.
Shopping
and money
There is a large area designated for duty shopping. The usual array
of duty-free goods are available with a few specialist shops selling
locally made products. both domestic and international banks are
available. There are also a number of bureaux de change and plenty
of ATM machines around the terminal.
Disability
assistance
The airport meets all standard requirements for the mobility impaired.
TDD phones are to be located on level 2 of the passenger service
centre.
Information
The airport has an information desk at level 2 of Concourse E. There
are a number of tourist information desks throughout the airport.

Miami International Airport Transportation
By taxi
Taxis are located outside the Arrivals hall. The services is round-the-clock
and service is generally good. Prices can vary however, depending
on the company used. Limousines are available on request.
By car
Coming from north of Miami, travel southbound on the I-95 to the
State Road 112. Lejeune Road then leads to the airport. From the
city join the I-95 North to the Westbound 836 which leads to the
airport.
By rail
A Tri-rail train runs from the airport to Broward County and Palm
Beach Counties. A fixed-rail system also operates to destinations
throughout Dade County. Shuttle connections to railway platforms
are available from the Concourse E bus station opposite the U.S.
Customs office.
Parking
The airport has extensive parking. With two multi-storey car parks,
The Dolphin Garage and the Flamingo Garage, the airport has short
term, long-term and valet parking. Disabled parking is located on
level 3 (tel: +1 305 876 7536). Short-term parking is located near
the terminal building and costs $2.50 per hour for a maximum of
one day.
