Transportation to and from the airport

A cornerstone of Lisbon’s economic development and the entire Lisbon region is Lisbon Airport. Located just 7 km from Lisbon’s city centre, the airport is well-serviced by public transportation.

Terminals and check-in
The airport is relatively small and has only one terminal, which services all domestic and international routes.

Airport facilities
Restaurant facilities open 24 hours are available in the airport, with Harrods providing a buffet and coffee shop. Passarola offers international cuisine while Iberusa has a wide range of local specialty dishes.

The lost property office is situated in the baggage reclaim area. While those requiring insurance should refer to the insurance desk in the check-in area (open 07:00-20:00). First aid room, baby care areas and showers are located at the boarding lounge. A post office is also available.

A VAT refund counter is positioned in the boarding lounge beside gate 17 (open 07:00-01:30).

Business and meetings
There are ample resources for the business traveller in both the Icaro and Ulisses lounges in the airport's transit area. Facilities include Internet, payphone and fax. Conference and press facilities are available in one of the airport lounges. Call Lisbon Airport Public Relations Service for further details (tel: (0) 21 841 3500).

Shopping and money
Duty-free shops and a wide selection of regular shops selling local delicacies, fashions, electronics and many other products are also available. Casa dos Sabores offers local Portuguese delicatessen produce.

A bank, 24-hour bureau de change and several ATMs are located in the terminal.

Disability assistance
Ramps, lifts and specially designed telephones and toilets are available for disabled passengers. Airline staff can provide wheelchairs and assist wheelchair passengers through customs and immigration. Spaces for disabled drivers are available in the airport car parks.

The information desks located in the arrivals and departures halls and boarding lounge are open from 08:00 to 00:00. A tourist information desk can also be found in the arrivals hall (open from 06:00-02:00). Information hotlines are located throughout the terminal.
