Guide to Lisbon International Airport
(LIS)
A cornerstone of Lisbon’s economic development
and the entire Lisbon region is Lisbon Airport. Located just 7 km
from Lisbon’s city centre, the airport is well-serviced by
public transportation.
Terminals
and check-in
The airport is relatively small and has only one terminal, which
services all domestic and international routes.

facilities
Restaurant facilities open 24 hours are available in the airport,
with Harrods providing a buffet and coffee shop. Passarola offers
international cuisine while Iberusa has a wide range of local specialty
dishes.
The lost property office is situated
in the baggage reclaim area. While those requiring insurance should
refer to the insurance desk in the check-in area (open 07:00-20:00).
First aid room, baby care areas and showers are located at the boarding
lounge. A post office is also available.
A VAT refund counter is positioned
in the boarding lounge beside gate 17 (open 07:00-01:30).
Business
and meetings
There are ample resources for the business traveller in both the
Icaro and Ulisses lounges in the airport's transit area. Facilities
include Internet, payphone and fax. Conference and press facilities
are available in one of the airport lounges. Call Lisbon Airport

Shopping
and money
Duty-free shops and a wide selection of regular shops selling local
delicacies, fashions, electronics and many other products are also
available. Casa dos Sabores offers local Portuguese delicatessen
produce.
A bank, 24-hour bureau de change and
several ATMs are located in the terminal.
Disability
assistance
Ramps, lifts and specially designed telephones and toilets are available
for disabled passengers. Airline staff can provide wheelchairs and
assist wheelchair passengers through customs and immigration. Spaces
for disabled drivers are available in the airport car parks.
Information
The information desks located in the arrivals and departures halls
and boarding lounge are open from 08:00 to 00:00. A tourist information
desk can also be found in the arrivals hall (open from 06:00-02:00).

transportation
By taxi
Taxis are located right outside the terminal and are available 24
hours a day.
By car
Driving to the airport from the north, follow the Hwy-A1 Porto/Lisbon
and then the 2 Circular to the airport.
By bus
The CARRIS AeroBus no. 91 leaves the airport every 20 minutes from
07:45 to 20:45 and takes about 20 minutes to reach the city centre.
This bus also serves the Cais do Sodre railway station. Tickets
can be purchased on board and are valid that day for any further
journeys on the bus and tram network. Local buses nos. 5, 22, 44
and 83 are in operation from 06:00 to 21:30 and bus no. 45 runs
from 06:00 to 01:15.
Parking
The airport has a number of short- and long-term parking options.
P1 permits parking of up to 12 hours. P1 and P2 are parking garages
and have direct access to the terminal. P3, the long-term car park,
is an outdoors facility. Both the short- and long-term car parks
are positioned to the right of the terminal, near the entrance to
the airport.
