Guide to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) has nine
terminals providing flights or connections to virtually every worldwide
destination. It is without doubt one of the largest and busiest
airports in the world. Situated 15 miles south of LA, it is a modern
airport strategically located to offer easy connection to all parts
of the US.
Terminal
and check-In
Each terminal serves a different group of airline companies. The
Tom Bradley International Terminal handles all overseas destinations.
The other terminals handle mainly domestic carriers. The Fly Away
shuttle bus runs a regular service around the airport making connections
run smoothly.

facilities
There is no shortage of shopping at the airport and there are numerous
cafés, restaurants and bars, as could be expected at an airport
of this size.
Shopping
and money
All duty free shopping is in Terminals 2-8. There are many places
in which to change currency with bureaux de change in departure
halls of each terminal and also in the arrival hall of the Tom Bradley
Internation Terminal.
Disability
assistance
The usual facilities are available with TDD telephones in Terminals
1-8. With a ‘special needs’ badge free parking is available.

There are desks in all the arrivals halls of each terminal. There

Los Angeles International Airport Transportation
By taxi
Taxis are available on the lower level. All airport taxis are authorised
and should display an official seal.
By bus
Buses into LA can be found leaving from Parking Lot C. Take the
C shuttle to reach this point. Outbound buses, shuttles, and courtesy
vans can be picked up from the designated areas on the Lower/Arrival
Level islands in front of each terminal. The areas are signed Van,
LAX Shuttle, Bus Stop and Courtesy Tram.
By rail
There is a free train shuttle that leaves every 15 minutes that
runs from 04:00 to 23:00. This service provides a connection to
the green metro light rail network.
Parking
The airport daily and metered parking. Passengers should leave sufficient
time for a full security check of their vehicle. There is ample
disabled parking space.
