Guide to Glasgow Prestwick International Airport (PIK)
Glasgow’s only international airport handles 600,000 passengers
per year coming from mainly European destinations with further a
field flights from North America and the West Indies. It is a relatively
quite airport by international standards but serves most of Scotland
with European flights. It is ultra-modern and spacious in design
and has all the hallmarks of an international airport.
Airport facilities
The airport has a newsagent, gift shop and an electrical goods store.
There is a children’s play area and an amusement arcade. Refreshments
are obtained from the Cloud 9 café/bar. In the main terminal
building there is the Gallery Café and the Graceland Bar.
There is a baby changing area in the main buiding.
Shopping and money
There is one bureau de change and a number of ATM machines on site.
A range of duty-free shopping is also available.

Glasgow Prestwick airport Transportation
By car
To get to the airport from the city, head along the M77 south of
Glasgow until the A77. The airport is well sign-posted from here
and is north of the town of Ayr.
By train
The airport has a train services running into central Glasgow every
30 minutes. It takes 45 minutes.
By bus
Stagecoach Western Express Service X77 offer a service to central
Glasgow every 30 minutes at peak times and every hour during the
rest of the day. The trip takes just under an hour. If a valid airline
ticket is shown a discount rate applies.
Parking
Car parks 1 and 2 are for short stay parking while car park 3 is
for long stay. This car park is a distance from the main terminal
building; booking is not required. Long stay parking is available
in car park 3 and is a distance from the main terminal building.
A shuttle bus is provided for taxi to the terminal. You may book
a place at Prestwick Parking or call (+44) 0870 0134503. A place
should be booked 24 hours in advance.
