Guide to Brisbane International Airport, Queensland (BNE)

Brisbane Airport is the gateway to the Sunshine
Coast in the north and the Gold Coast and northern New South Wales
in the south. Located only 13 km from the city centre, it provides
excellent access via public transportation.
Terminals
and check-in
There are two terminals at the airport, domestic and international.
Both a shuttle bus and train are available for transit between the
two terminals. The shuttle bus has departures every 10 minutes in
the morning and every 20 minutes in the afternoon, while the train
links the terminals with Brisbane four times an hour and with the
Gold Coast twice an hour.
Airport facilities
There are plenty of cafés and bars available at the airport
with refreshments on offer at the Verandah Bar Bistro and a number
of other bars, restaurants and snack bars.
A first aid room is located on level
3 in the International Terminal.
Business
and meetings
Those travelling on business will find conference and meeting room
facilities at the airport (Tel: +61 7 3406 3000) suitable for groups
of 12-50 people.
Shopping
and money
Shops on offer include Sunglass Hut, World of Fun, Beach Culture,
Wear & When and many others. Collins booksellers provide a wide
selection of books and magazines, with duty-free shopping facilities
located in the International Terminal.
The International Terminal provides
bureaux de change facilities on levels 2 and 3. Travelex has a convenient
currency exchange for visitors arriving and departing, with locations
on Arrivals level 2, Departures Lounge level 3 and Departures Check-in
level 4.
Disability
assistance
Provisions for the disabled include ramped and lift access to all
floors, wheelchair-accessible toilets positioned on level 4, and
shops and dining areas designed for people with special needs in
the International Terminal.

By taxi
Taxis are available from both the domestic and international terminals,
with limousines provided on request.
By car
The airport has a dedicated access road positioned off a junction
of the Gateway Arterial highway near Brisbane. It connects the Gold
Coast, Northern New South Wales in the south and the Sunshine Coast
in the north. The airport is conveniently located on Moreton Bay
and is just 13 km from Brisbane's Central Business District.
By rail
The Airtrain Rail Link operates to Brisbane's Central Business District
(trip time: 20 minutes) and to the Gold Coast (trip time: 70 minutes).
Trains leave almost every 15 minutes to/from Brisbane Central Business
District.
By bus
Buses are available from both terminals, and there are coach services
(Tel: +61 7 3236 1000) to Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine
Coast.
Parking
There is both short and long-term parking (Tel: +61 7 3406 3088)
available at the International and Domestic terminals, both with
designated areas for the disabled.
There are also car parking areas for
the disabled available in public car parks at the airport and there
is access to the bus parking area via a ramp from arrivals level
2.
