Guide to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)
Officially BOS is the sixth largest airport in
the US, but with hectic scheduling of flights from far flung destinations
such as Europe, Latin America and the Pacific Rim region travellers
could be mistaken for thinking it was the biggest.
Terminals
and check-in
The airport has five terminals serving differing airlines and destinations.
It is often crowded and the airport sometimes has difficulty with
air traffic flow sometimes resulting in serious delays. Terminal
B serves all domestic flights while C and E provide services for
the majority of international traffic. Terminal D is for domestic
flights only while Terminal A is closed throughout 2003. Transfer
between terminals is by free shuttle bus.
Airport
facilities
Each terminal provides plenty of choice of refreshment. There are
a host of shops located throught the various terminal buildings.
Business
and meetings
There are conference facilities at the Harborside Hyatt Conference
Center and Hotel.
Shopping
and money
Fleet Bank is the main bank in the airport with ATMs in every terminal.
Other ATMs can also be found on site, including American Express
in Terminals A and B, Citizens Bank in Terminals C and E and East
Boston Savings in Terminal C. Bureaux de change are to be found
terminals 3 and 5, while mobile counters are available at international
gates.

Logan International Airport Transportation
By taxi
Taxis are available for hire outside all arrival halls. A journey
downtown will take around 20 minutes. Logan Airport shared-ride
vans are also available.
By car
Head for the Callahan Tunnel for the City of Boston, Massachusetts
or Cape Cod. From the I-93 directions are clear. Most city roads
are busy so it is best to allow an extra 30 minutes on top of estimated
journey times.
By rail
The ‘T’ train operates from Airport Station on the Blue
Line to South Station in downtown Boston.
By bus
A free service (route number 66) connects all terminals to the Logan

way to avoid traffic congestion. Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority
(MBTA) run all other services. City connections are bus routes 448,
459 and CT3.
Parking
Short-term, valet and disabled parking facilities are nearby. Long-term
parking is further away with complimentary shuttle bus available.
