Birmingham International Aiport has won the 'Best
Business Terminus' five times since 1993 at the Business Travel
World Magazine awards.
Airport
facilities
Refreshments and meals are available from a range of cafes and fast
food outlets including: Burger King, Caffe Ritazza, Delice de France,
and Thorntons.
Further facilities include: regular
and credit card telephones and a left luggage facility providing
key-holding and baggage delivery services (located on the first
floor of the main Terminal).
Business
and meetings
For the business traveller, there are booths providing credit-card
operated phones, email, modem and fax facilities in the main Terminal
Departures Lounge. A business centre is located in the Eurohub Terminal,
beside Travelex. A photocopier, fax, telephone, typewriter, word
processor and small meeting room are also available. Secretarial
assistance is also provided during Travelex business hours.
Shopping
and money
A wide array of shops is available, including WH Smith, Claire’s
Accessories, Sock Shop, Impuls, Boots, The Body Shop and Dixons.
A bureau de change is located in the
main and Eurohub Terminals, with ATMs on the ground floor of the
main Terminal.
Disability
assistance
Facilities for those with disabilities include an induction loop
system at the airport to amplify announcements for those using hearing
aids. A MINICOM system is installed at the information desk and
staff who can use sign language and help with baggage and checking-in
are on hand. Wheelchair access is facilitated by ramps and wide
doorways.

at the Eurohub Terminal (tel: + 44 121 767 7502/03/04).

By taxi
Taxi stands are located outside the Millennium Link Block.
By car
To reach the airport by car, follow the A45 Birmingham-Coventry
main route, off Junction 6 of the M42. The airport also has direct
access to the M1, M5, M6, and M40 motorways.
By bus and rail
The free Air-Rail-Link shuttle bus links the airport to Birmingham
International train station and the National Exhibition Centre.
It operates every 10 minutes, leaving from the main Terminal (and
train station).
In the city, Birmingham International
train station provides reliable regional and intercity rail services.
London Euston station is served every half-hour with trips taking
90 minutes.
A bus service which collects passengers
in front of the main Terminal is available. Bus timetable information
is available on the CENTRO HOTLINE (Tel:+ 44 0121 200 2700). The
airport is connected to Digbeth Bus station in central Birmingham
every 20-30 minutes by the number 900 bus, linking to the National
Express coaches.
Parking
National Car Parks (NCP) provides information on parking at the
airport and may be contacted at Tel: + 44 121 767 7861. A pre-booking
service is also available.
