Guide to Berlin Tempelhof International Airport (THF)

Berlin Tempelhof is one of the three airports
servicing Berlin, with connections throughout Germany as well as
Europe.
Terminals
and check-in
The airport only has one terminal.
Airport
facilities
The Airlift Coffee Shop provides snacks and drinks (open Mon-Fri
7:00-20:00; Sat 08:00-19:00; Sun 11:30-20:00). The Air Snack Bar
also offers a wide variety of refreshments.
A hair salon located at the main entrance
area. There is also a 24-hour first aid station on the runway level
(Tel: +49 30 6951-3614). Mailboxes are positioned in front of the
main entrance. There are baby changing rooms in the bathrooms on
the left just past the main hall, behind the baggage storage area.
Further facilities include luggage
storage, sales and information desks for the airlines and travel
agencies, police and customs. Baggage carts are provided free of
charge, in the Arrivals Hall, in the terminal building and at parking
area P2.
Business
and meetings
Business travellers may book conference rooms at the airport, through
TAG Aviation (Tel: +49 30 6951-3880) and LSG (Tel: +49 30 4101-3626).
There are lounges provided by Diners Club in the transit area which
provide some business facilities as well.
Shopping
and money
You will find a variety of shops in the main hall, with stores selling
travel necessities, gifts, snacks and beverages, as well as newspapers,
stationery and photography goods. A florist is located in the main
entrance. Duty-free shopping is available in the departures area
and offers a wide range of tobaccos, perfumes, cosmetics and liquors.
ATMs provided by Deutsche Bank are
located near the main entrance. Currency exchange facilities are
located to the right of the main entrance. Various currencies may
be changed into traveller’s checks or other currencies. A
self-service exchange machine is also available for the exchange
of small change.
Disability
assistance
Handicapped-accessible facilities include ramps in the entrances,
adapted telephones and specially designed toilets. The toilets are
located near the elevator on the right hand side of the main entrance.
Those with any special needs should contact their respective airlines
in advance to arrange appropriate assistance.

Further information is available at the information desk located
in the terminal, as well as at the several travel agencies and airline
information desks throughout the terminal.

By taxi
Metered taxis are available outside the terminal.
By car
To reach the airport by car, follow the signs from the city centre.
It is a short ride, as the airport is located within the city limits.
By rail
There is a rail connection to the airport provided by the U6 urban
rail system. The airport station is Platz der Luftbrucke, with the
U7 branch of the network only a stop away, and the U1 is located
one more stop away from the airport terminal.
By bus
There is a frequent bus service available from outside the terminal
building, with connections to many city districts available.
Parking
Short-term parking is available in car park P1, while car parks
P2 and P3 offer long-term parking facilities.
