Barbados Grantley Adams International Airport
services both international and regional services and is located
16 kms southeast of Bridgetown city centre.
Terminals
and check-in
There is only one terminal at the airport.
Airport
facilities
A good selection of bars and restaurants is available in the airport,
serving both local and international cuisine. Further options include
a number of fast-food outlets, an ice cream parlour, and stands
offering snacks and drinks.
A Post office is also available in
the terminal.
Business
and meetings
A business centre is provided by the Club Caribbean Lounge, with
fax, internet facilities and meeting rooms available. British Airways
and BWIA first and business class lounges also provide fax and internet
facilities.
Shopping
and money
Several shops, including a pharmacy, souvenir shop, clothes shop,
supermarket and delicatessen are present in the terminal. After
security, there are several duty-free shops in the Departures Lounge,
as well as an in-bound duty-free shop in the Arrivals Lounge.
There are several banks and bureau
de change services available at the airport.
Disability
assistance
Disabled passengers have easy access to arrivals and departure halls,
as both are situated on the ground floor. A lift is provided to
access the restaurant on the mezzanine floor and toilets with access
for the disabled are provided throughout the airport.

Barbados Grantley Adams International Airport transportation
By taxi
Over 200 taxis serve the airport, including Barbados Transport Co-op,
Quintette and Tours, with journeys to Bridgetown taking approximately
30 minutes.
By car
To reach the airport by car, take the ABC Highway which runs from
Bridgetown to the airport – it takes about 30 minutes. The
airport is also accessible from the Highway 7, along the southern
coast.
By bus
Buses regularly run to and from the airport, and are easily identifiable
as practically all buses are modern Mercedes-Benz buses. Departures
to the city are usually every 15 minutes.
Parking
There is sufficient parking available at the airport, with a capacity
of up to 560 spaces provided.
