Guide to Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport (ATL)
This is perhaps the busiest airport in the world

Despite its seemingly chaotic exterior, traffic flow here is handled
very well with very few delays. There are two main terminals and
four runways with a fifth planned.
Terminals
and check-in
The airport has a north and a south terminal with a ‘people
carrier’ (underground train) connecting them to six concourses.
An eight-minute ride connects the furthest of the six concourses
providing a stress free connection. A travelator also carries people
between terminals. The North Terminal is used for most international
and domestic carriers while the South Terminal concentates on Delta
Airlines, Aeromexico, Air France, Sabena and South Afican Airways.
Airport
facilities
There are a number of shops and restaurants located throughout the
two terminals, the concourses and in the underground transit mall.
A chapel is located on site and there are extensive locker and luggage
storage facilities.
Business
and meetings
The Executive Conference Center is located at Airport Atrium Suite
300 and has an extensive range of business services, which can be
booked hourly or daily.
Shopping
and money
A full banking service is to be found in the North Terminal as is
a bureau de change. ATMs can be found in all areas of Atlanta airport.
Hartsfield is considered to have one of the best duty free shopping
areas in the world.

people.
